Oh Goodness! Look at my wrist!

Here my obligatory begining of the school year update :D

Moved back to college last sunday, it was a pretty uneventful move, things went smoothly, and didn't get any crap from my dad.

Classes started up on tuesday, and i would have updated sooner but i didn't have all of my classes till yesterday. All of my classes seem pretty good this quarter. Theres a few i'm quite worried about, but i think that i chose the right professors to help me get though them with a passing grade.

Geology is gonna be fun and easy, since it's a lot of stuff i really already know, plus the prof, Dr. Verb is just hilarious. Then i've got physics, which i'm a bit worried about, since i've never taken a physics class before. :\ After that i have Organic Chemistry. I've heard nothing bot horror stories about this class, so i'm really actually scared. But, my professor is really cool, and he knows what he's talking about, so i'll be seeing him a lot this quarter i'm sure. Then i have bowling, which is just an easy class i took to take up some credit hours XD

The first week of classes was quite uneventful. Not much really happened. I got my room all settled, and decorated the walls with posters and such. Me and my roommate have started a yaoi wall of sorts, with not so much yaoi on the wall, but it has a lot of cute boys with other cute boys XD I've been putting things up on it all week, and lets just say, if my roomie doesn't start putting her stuff up, One Piece is just gonna take it over.

Speaking of one piece, I was looking forwward to the new chapter this week, only to wake up this morning to check and find out it's on break this week D: Oda sure loves to torture his fans sometimes.

It's kinda nice to be back on campus, i'm getting used to it again, but i'm not gonna lie, the first couple days back, all i wanted to do was go home. It's funny cuz last year i coudln't wait to get out of brunswick.

I also have a new obsession of sorts. Thanks to Bev and Lisa exposing me to a show called Supernatural, i'm hooked. I finished the first season in a week, and i'm working on the second one now. Just gotta get thought the 3rd and 4th to get caught up with season 5 that just started. But it's an awesome show with 2 cute brothers as the main characters :D I love dean, he's such a sarcastic ass <3 But yes, basically with any free time i have after homework is filled with watch as much supernatural as megavideo will allow and then reading fanfics. So i apoligize right now, because i realize that i get on these kicks where i obsess over things, and i've been on one and still am on one for One Piece, well it's happening for Supernatural too, and i don't see either stopping any time soon :D so just tell me to shut up if i get started on one and you dont' wanna hear it.

Can't sleep, so i'm updating the journal. I'm just gonna ramble about my summer, so yeah lol

It's nearing that time again. It's almost time to go back to school. And while i can't say that i'm sad, because i'm not, i'm kinda ready to go back. But at the same time it's depressing that it's coming to an end. I'm not really ready for it to end. I love contradicting emotions :D

This was one of the best summers i've ever had, no scratch that, it was the best summer i've ever had. And i hope that i can make each one coming the best, if not better as this one.

This whole summer is kinda funny really, most of it only happened because of one spur of the moment decision to go to the mall to pick up something for a cosplay.

If i hadn't done that, i wouldn't have meet katie and amanda there, and never would have starting going to panini's on tuesday nights. I wouldn't have made 4 new friends in amanda, lisa, mel, and bev. Amanda wouldn't have ever invited me to go to the We The Kings and All Time Low concert with her, and we'd never had even thought of the idea to go to warped tour in detroit, or met the three michigan girls. None of that would have happened, and when ever i think about it, it boggles my mind.

Thats not even everything that happened either. I got to hand out with my best friend Evan so much this summer, more than i have been able to for that past few year, which was just great. I feel like we're even better friends then before after this summer. He's into anime now, and we went to a con together, which was so much fun.

And then there was Ikasucon. It wasn't so amazing this year, atmosphere wise, but the people, god the people there were amazing. I got to see the Sara's again, made friends with the roomies, who are two amazing girls and i'll hopfully be seeing them again in october.

and as stupid as this sounds, i rediscovered one piece, and that has lead to a lot of things. From new awesome cosplays, to helping along making friends at cons, and talking to amazing people online on the OP forums.

Now, everythings starting to wind down. Friends have already starting moving back to their respective schools. I start in 2 weeks, and have alot of work to do before then. I've got packing and cleaning, and stuff i have to get before move in day. I find i'm staying home more now in the past week. Which is nice, i've been using the time to acutally starting getting ready for school lol. And work on new cosplays, hehe.

There's only one more big thing happening before i go back to school, and thats the Blink-182 show on sept. 3! I'm totally stoked for it too. They're one of the bands i didn't think i'd ever see live. 8D

well, with that i guess i'll take this journal to a close. It was just basically me rambling on about my summer because i couldn't sleep once again. I've srsly gotta kick this habit. Oh well, school will hopfully help that, so i'm not to concerned about breaking it before i go back.

AN UPDATE! WHOA!

So this years ikasucon, me and kai had basically been waiting for it since the last day of ikasucon last year, was both not impressive, but at the same time one of the best cons ever. I'll explain that in a minute.

I started getting packed and read thursday night, while i was still working on my Zoro and Ulquiorra cosplays for the con. I had my roommate Tricia and friend Evan staying over because they were coming to the con as well. Tricia was trying to get her Ed costume done too, and she finished makeing her pants at like 5 am when she went to sleep.

I proceeded to not sleep at all, as i still had work to do and finish packing. I needed to clear coat my swords and finish my ulquiorra costume. The swords go sprayed, but ulqui gave me so much trouble, i just said fuck it all, and decided to do zoro all weekend, which was possible the best decision i ever made!


Anywho, i sprayed my swords, and packed. I woke people up at 8am, to get ready, and Kai came to pick us up at 9am. We were on the road by 9:20. We had to pick up nurse and sara in maumee, then we made for Fort Wayne. I think we go there at around noonish, or oneish.

Kai went and found our roomies(our awesome roomies) to get the hotel, and we all made our way up in groups, since we had 8 people in there XD. We got into cosplay and headed down to the reg line. Pre-reg went real quick, but the reg line took hours.

Lets see, cosplays were as follows, Kai and Nurse were Yaya and Hikari from strawberry panic, Tricia was Ed Elric from the FMA movie, I was Zoro from One Piece, and roomies Samantha and Amanda were Ussop and Luffy.

After reg, we checked out the dealers room, and went to a few panels, namely Dusty's yaoi panel, the dirty dirty fanfic panel, and Inupoet's show, which was very exciting. Some of us may have free passes for the con next year :D.

On saturday, me and the roomies had awesome one piece adventures, from harrassing the naruto cosplayers, playing around the puddle(which evan walked into), searching out food, hunting down the guy that said one piece was slow moving during the cosplay... You get the idea lol

When it came time to do it, we returned to the room to maybe change, but decided that we wouldn't not be able to do it correctly. That was because at about 3 in the morning, the convention hall was full of people, which is normally not the case. We usually own that hall at night when we have it. So he had it for a little bit in the room, and called it a night.

On sunday we woke up early, then me and the roomies got back into our cosplays again. Thats right, sunday cosplay. That was the first for me. It was alot more enjoyable then i though it was going to be. We sat around the con hall for a few hours, waiting for the One Piece panel to start, which was a lot of fun! I finally got to insult me a Sanji, who was awesome ^^

After the OP panel, we got to wate for another hour to have a photoshoot with the other 3 OP cosplayers. We got some awesome shots, so i can't wait to see them! I got called out early, cuz we had to leave, but it was a ton of fun. I can't wait for next year, villains group anyone? 8D

As for the dissapointing part of the con, it was more in the atmosphere of the con. It didn't feel like ikasucon did the past 2 years i went. It was different, i don't know why, but i think it had something to do with the lack of people that attended this year. It felt like a lot less then last year. *sigh*

This con was one of the most fun con's i've attended though, cosplaying One Piece was sooo much fun. I loved cosplaying with the roomies! Zoro will prolly never be retired.

Next con for me will be Youmacon, it's halloween weekend, where i'll be rooming with Amanda/Luffy and her friends, so i'm pretty excited. Luffy said it was Captains orders that i go, and i'd be a bad first mate if i disobeyed orders. I'll be maybe doing Skypeia zoro for it. depends on the goggle situation.



Then Ohyaocon nexy year! christmas will be funding that con. and i really, really kinda wanna make Zoro's drum island coat for it! seeing as it's a winter con and all, maybe get some outside pictures. And see the other one piece cosplayers again!

So, it's nearing the end of of the school year. I started this damn LJ to keep updated during the school year, but that clearly failed epicly, since i was just to busy most of the time to sit down and do a proper journal. But now that it's nearing summer agian, i'm going to try and pick this thing up again.

And, i decided that 6 am is the perfect time to start! :D but anyway, i can't sleep(again), and it's to late to sleep now, since i have a class at 8, so i need to do something.

I've got about 2 more weeks left of school, then i'm done for the year. I'll be home may 20, and i srsly cannot wait to be back in brunswick. I never thought i'd say that, but i'm so sick of this campus and ada it's not even funny anymore. i just need to get away from anything that has to do with college for along time.

I'm super excited for summer. I'm hoping i'll be able to find a job, any job. Mostly i'll need to money to fund the cons, but i wouldn't mind a little extra spending moneys. lol and i have a few cosplay projects. The main one currently being Ulquiorra from Bleach, but i've got most of his stuff bought. Then i have a really easy cosplay i have planned, but that one is a secret, because i decided i wanted it to be. Those two will debut at Ikasucon. I would also like to make Zoro's 3 swords from One Piece, just for the hell of it. cuz i like making swords. and i've been on one hell of a One Piece kick as of late. i'm trying to get caught up in the manga, but i'm only on chapter 257, and there is 541 of them.

and to think, my picking one piece back up again just started as a thing to keep me occupied untill Bleach updated again.

theres a whole slew of manga that i have to start reading though. and i'll get to them eventually. Next on the list is Soul Eater, i think.

well, i'm done rambling for now. I'm gonna do a revamp of everything for the journal i think. change things up.

Well, today started out good, i got up at 11:30 to go to an interview for a desk job in Lima complex. Hopfully i'll get it, cuz i totally need a job so i can get some cash. That took like a total of 5 minutes, so when i got back to my room, i mad a mistake and laid back down and ended up falling asleep again >.< So ended up waking up at 1:30, and to go to my one class for the day.

one problem, that class starts at one, but for some odd damn reason, my brain keeps telling me that it's at 2, so i missed it T.T so, lesson of today is that niki is stupid sometimes.

Good news is that i got all my chemisty stuff done last night, so today all i have to do today is write up my forensics lab, do a little chem. studying and get caught up with my art portfolio. i should go to the library and try to get the reading material i have to read for my religion class, but that chances of that happening are slim.

what i really wanna do it work on my cosplay stuff, but i've always got homework to do, and when i finish it, i really don't feel like sewing anymore :(

So, had my first day of classes today. It wasn't too bad, my professors are really nice. and the classes seem like they are going to be really fun, 'cept for chemistry, but maybe i'll understand it this time around. lol

First i had Art Appreciation with Mancuso at 8 in the morning, i've got that mondays, tuesday, thursdays, and fridays. It seems like it's going to be a really easy class. We have to keep a porfolio of art that we find interesting and anything we may thing of regarding art, i plan on having many doodles thorugh out the whole thing lol. The class room is freezing though, cuz the air conditioner is like on high, and you can barely hear the proffeser talking >.<

Then i had my Forensic Biology class with Dr. DeLuca at 10, thats a 2 hours class that i have on tues, thurs, and fri. I'm excited for this class because we are going to learn how to do lots of foresics stuff XD We are also going to be writing a paper detailing what we think the perfect crime would be :D is it wierd that i got really exited when he told us that?

Then right after that, i run upstairs and i have Chemistry with Bates on mon, tues, thurs, and fri. I'm terrified that i'm not going to do well in this class. I'm just going to have to go to every tutoring session offered and see the professor all the time. Teacher seems really nice and like she'd be willing to help though, so thats really good.

My other class is Islam and Christianity with morrison, and i have that on mon, wed, thurs, and fri. Not sure how this class is gonna be, but i guess it'll be interesting. I had the professor for my religion class last year, so i'll be used to what she wants on tests and such. The awesome thing is that this is my only class on wednesdays :D and it's at 2 in the after noon, so i can stay up late tuesday nights. which is why i'm writing this jounal at 1:30 in the morning XD

Then i have wellness lab, with is a pass fail class, i just basically have to show up 2 times a week XD

The worst day of the week for me is thursday. Thursday basically equals hell. I start at 8am and don't stop till 5pm. awesome.

All in all the first day wasn't to horrible, i like most of my classes so thats good, now i just have to pass them all :D

It's also so good to be back on campus, it feels like it's been forever since i've been here, but at the same time it's like i never left.

Anyways, taking my boyfriend to the movies on friday for his birthday, and then the next day we are all going to go to cedar point, which is going to be awesome cuz i wanna ride some damn roller coasters, yo.

I really should be sleeping right now, but i'm not tired and i'm reading this awesome fic. This is going to become a problem when school starts again, considering i have an 8am class T_____T and the fact that i have to get up at 9 tomorrow XD oh well, i might learn my lesson eventaully, but prolly not.

I put a big dent in my packing today, granted it took me all day, cuz i'd pack a little, then i had to do something else. That should tell you alot about how short my attention span can be XD
I'm surprised by the fact that it seems that i'm not taking as much stuff as i did last year. but i'm taking a vcr/dvd player and a sewing machine with me, so i think i'm taking more in the means of big things. I don't hink i'm bring as many little things, i've got all that stuff in 2 boxes and most of my school things in 2 crates.

Tonight, i'm going to bike night at the quaker state and lube with dave and a few of his friends, so that'll be exciting. I'm sad though, cuz the whole point of my going was so that i could see his friends '68 GTO, the '67 GTO being my absolute favorite car, but he decided he wasn't going to bring it T___T and i finally going to be able ride in a GTO damn it lol. i'll just have to get rich so i can get one of my own.

i i'm also extremely excited for sunday, which isn't helping my sleeping problem at all T___T

i'm playing final fantasy 7 right now :D i'm about to fight Hojo for the first of 3 times, and when i beat him, i'm gonna breed chocobos :D >:( not exciting lol. anyways i'm taking a tiny break to write a journal cuz i haven't done that for a few days.

I was at my dads house this weekend, i figured i'd spend some time with im before i go off to collge next weekend. We went to the shooting range and shot some of his rifles and handguns. had a blast LOL

When we came home today, we went to a picnic at dave's sisters house. basically i just went to get to know daves family a little better, and now i can name like 5 of them -_-''' i'm so bad with names, it's not even funny. They are all really nice people though so i'll get it eventually. though, on my dad's side of the family, i don't think i know like half of the peoples names. that prolly has something to do with the fact that i hardly ever see them though XD

This week i'm going to be packing and cleaning alot. which basically means, that i'm going to be super distractible this week :D when i should be packing i'll be sewing, when i should be cleaning i'll be playing video games. so saturday will most likely be a rush of packing. I don't think my mom's coming with me down to ada this time, so my dad's going to come and help me move in. That was my understanding of whats going on. Whether or not it stays like that is beyond me, my mom likes to change her mind quite a bit. anyway, with my dad going, i'm sure things will get awkward, cuz thats just how it is. lol

One more week till ONU! one long week.

SO! i've basically come to the conclusion that i need to be kept away from all things related to anime, cosplay, sewing, and things of that sort. I just keep wanting to work on cosplays, and wanting to make new cosplays. I'm working on one right now, Shuichi Shindou from gravitation, and i'm stuck with it till i find a pattern, and get some moneys for mah wig and boots. However, even though i have a project, i already have my next cosplay in line, and started planning it out T.T
I'm gonna do Simon from Gurren Lagann next. I told my self i wasn't going to start on him, till i finished Shuichi, but damn it, everytime i go on cosplay.com i find my self researching his costume. and while playing with sculpey tonight, i ended up making his core drill necklace >.< oh well. i'm obsessed.

I started packing today, and i srsly forgot how much i hate packing. it's even worse then usual cuz all my things from the old house are still in boxes, and i have now idea where anything is, because i didn't get to pack my things. an my room, which was supposed to be done like 2 weeks after i got out of school, is still not done T.T boxes got shifted around all summer, and it's just frustrating, and i hate not knowing where things are, specially my things. So, all that happened was a little packing and organizing, and lots of breaks cuz i was getting so frustrated. lol

I'm so ready to go back to Ada and ONU, in all it's windy glory. I miss it horribly lol

So, past few days have been pretty uneventful. me and my bro had the house to ourselves till thursday, but now my parents are back ^^ and i spent most of the time making things out of sculpey

I watched my cousin Delaney on thursday, she's such a cutie, and i love her to death. we watched like 20 minutes of the little mermaid before she got bored, so we played wii sports instead.

I wanted to have my sculpey earring finished today, so i could post a pic here and on dA, but the damn clear coat i put on them is funny, and it's still tacky. I don't know why it's doin' it, but i hope it dries soon. So instead of assembling earrings, i drew a picture instead, a for real serious picture! it's been forever and a half since i've done that :D look! i'm proud of myself ^^

My Mothers wedding went amazingly, everything was beatiful, and no one started any shit, which i was kinda worried about. Now they are one their honeymoon, so me and my brother have the house to ourselves for 4 days :D if we were bad kids we'd throw a party, we've got enough food left over from the wedding for one XD

basically all i did yesterday was sew, i finished the plushie i was working one for my friend, it turned out pretty damn well if i do say so my self.

but now that i have that out of the way, i can start making myself plushies, and finish my kumagoro hat, and make other hats. I'm thinking i might start to make hats and sell them, for some extra cash, i just have to work out shipping and paypal stuff ^^

Went to nurse's house, down in maumee yesterday, to celebrate akuroku day. Nurse is our axel. We basically just hung out in cosplay all day, we were supposed to have some more of the organization there but htey coudln't come, so that was sad. But me, sora, axel, roxas, and kairi had fun :D we played pokemon puzzle league, which seems like a retarded game, but when you play it you can't stop. i think it's moar javascript:void(0);addicting then tetris, and that game is addicting. After kairi left, i started to play Kingdom Hearts Final Mix 2 +, cuz nurse is amazing and has a japanese playstation and the game from japan. I was so freakin happy, even if i only got to play the part when your roxas. And Re: COM is just so freaking awesome, i watched Nurse play it till 6 in the morning. lol

but before that happened, we played with toys and actions figures :D cuz were cool like that! we also did some shooting for othe video me and kai are making.

Today was crazy >.<  I wanted it get up at noon, to get a heads up on things i had to do today but i slept through my alarm T.T   I really hate it when i do that.  So at one, i got up and had to clean, a lot, lol. My mom is getting married on saturday, so she wants the house spotless, and its my job to clean the house. wooo! *not really* oh well.  I'm getting paid to do it, so i'm not gonna complain.  After that i baked some delcious zuchini bread :D  Then i was off to the fabric store for some fabrics, obviously, and hit up goodwill to get some new clothes for my alter ego, RIku XD.  I'm making a plushie of Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance for my friends birthday on monday, so i had to get crackin' on that. by time i got home from joann's it was almost 9 o'clock, so i got to sewing.

and my machine procedded to be stupid, so i beat it up. and it worked :D

through out sewing, i had to keep my little brother Tyler (aaron) entertained, so i let him play what ever video game he wanted, and that kept him kinda quiet.  He didn't go home until after midnight, and i was about ready to kill him XD

but right now, i'm just chilling and watching rent. i'll prolly go to sleep soon, me and kai are shooting tomorrow for our video and then going down to maumee, for an AkuRoku Day party, cuz we're nerds like that.

Well, it seems this blogging thing is making a comeback with some of my friends.  So i dug up this old account that i made at least a year ago, but did nothing with lol.  I figure i'll give it a shot.  I've tried blogging before, but it lasted maybe a week before i got bored, maybe it'll be different this time.  it'll give me something to do when i'm staying up to late in the summer, and something to complain to when school starts :D and perhaps i can post some of the things i sew and make for cosplay. we'll see...
